San Martin Jilotepeque, a typical highland village, located 33 kilometers northwest of Guatemala City that was devastated by the February 4 earthquake. Traditional adobe houses with tile roofs were almost completely destroyed, but the school buildings made of reinforced concrete block and corrugated asbestos roofs in the right part of this view are essentially undamaged. 1976.
