Sneffels Peak, this peak is a mass of diorite and gabbro cutting up through the bedded volcanic series. This view was taken from the saddle west of Stony Mountain. Sneffels Peak (14,143 feet) is the highest peak in the bold mountain front at the northwest margin of the range. It is a conspicuous monadnock Ouray County, Colorado. 1895.
